Bourbon milk punch is a delicious brunch drink. The sweet and creamy drink is made with bourbon, a touch of vanilla and some milk. It’s shaken with ice until cold and frothy. Milk punch can be served strained into a chilled cocktail glass or over fresh ice.
Bourbon Milk Punch Recipe
1 1/2 ounces bourbon whiskey such as Jim Beam or Maker’s Mark
1/2 ounce simple syrup
Dash pure vanilla
3 ounces whole milk or light cream (half and half)
Freshly grated nutmeg
Add bourbon, simple syrup, vanilla and milk to cocktail shaker. Add ice to cocktail shaker; cover and shake vigorously. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with nutmeg.
Makes 1 cocktail
What is simple syrup? Simple syrup is 1 part granulated sugar dissolved in 1 part water.
Tip: To make Brandy Milk Punch use brandy or Cognac in place of the bourbon.
