Here’s a fun beer drink recipe- cold stout beer and premium chocolate ice cream blended into a rich and creamy shake! Beer and ice cream may sound like an odd couple, but they get along nicely in these chocolate stout shakes. The bitterness of the beer pairs well with the chocolate in the ice cream.
Chocolate Stout Beer Shake Recipe
3/4 to 1 cup cold stout beer such as Guinness draught or your favorite local brew
1 pint (2 cups) premium chocolate ice cream such as Ben and Jerry’s
Add cold beer to blender container. (Use 3/4 cup for a thicker shake or 1 cup for a thinner shake.) Scoop ice cream into blender container. Blend until smooth, stopping blender and scraping down sides as needed. Pour into glasses.
Makes 2 shakes (about 3 cups total)
Tip: Be sure to use a premium, higher fat ice cream. Using a lower fat ice cream will result in a thin shake with unbalanced flavor.
