Citrus Blush Martini

Floral gin and bright citrus liqueur pair up in this delicate martini recipe. Fresh citrus juice gives a subtle sweetness, but gin is the prominent flavor. (So use a good one.)

Blood orange liqueur adds a blush of color and orange flavor. I used Thatcher’s, a small batch Michigan distiller.

Citrus Blush Gin Martini Recipe
2 ounces gin such as Hendrick’s
1 ounce blood orange liqueur such as Thatcher’s
1 ounce fresh orange, blood orange or nectarine juice

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add gin, blood orange liqueur and juice. Cover and shake vigorously. Strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with an orange slice or orange twist.

Makes 1 cocktail

Cocktail Ratio: 2 parts gin, 1 part blood orange liqueur, 1 part juice
